Centreville School Board Selects Final Candidates for Superintendent

The Centreville School Board narrowed the field to two candidates after interviewing five candidates on March 11 for the superintendent position.  The two finalists are Stephanie Lemmer, Director of Head Start at Kalamazoo RESA and Corey Helgesen, Superintendent at Litchfield.

The five candidate interviews on Saturday March 11 were about one hour each.  Board members asked the candidates questions regarding vision for the school district, communication style, management and decision-making style, vision for technology, and many others.  Candidates also were able to offer opening and closing statements.  There were about 10 staff and community members in the audience.  The Board is being assisted in the search process by MASB, Michigan Association of School Boards with Dr. Rodney Green as the consultant.

The final interviews will be held beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday March 18 at the Centreville High School Library at 190 Hogan Street.  The public is encouraged to attend the interviews.
