Constructing a Thesis:
A thesis is the central idea or main idea of an essay. Usually written as a single sentence, a strong thesis contains three main parts:
A Subject - A clear reference to what you're writing about- so avoid pronouns here. Abraham Lincoln is much preferred to "he."
What you believe about the subject - This is your claim, the thing you will prove to the reader.
Your Reasons- Why is this claim true?
Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves and ended the Civil War, making him America's greatest president.
Of all the languages, studying Latin is preferred, since it opens up so many other possibilities in science, history, and music.
