My primary method of communication for PE and English II is through a bi-weekly (or more often) parent e-mail. I'll keep you informed of what's going on in PE and English II; the purposes and goals of what we're doing; opportunities to receive individualized progress reports for your student; and focused questions (and answers!) you can discuss with your student. If you have not already sign up and would like to receive the e-mail, e-mail me at bneff@cpschools.org and I will gladly add you to the list.

In August 2015, I was awarded a $100 Meemic Foundation Back-to-School grant. These funds enabled me to purchase the following new titles for our classroom library from Lowry's Bookstore in Three Rivers, MI:
Identical, Ellen Hopkins
Burned, Ellen Hopkins
Why We Broke Up, Daniel Handler
Butter, Erin Lange (2 copies)
We Were Liars, E. Lockhart
The Enemy, Charlie Higson (2 copies)
Love Letters to the Dead, Ava Dellaira
I'll Give You The Sun, Jandy Nelson
Thank you, Meemic Foundation, for your commitment to schools and reading!
In January 2015, I was awarded a $1000 Strengthening Schools grant from Midwest Energy Cooperative and Touchstone Energy to use for a new free weight system. This equipment will be incorporated into my PE classes and will also be shared with sports programs and the Power Lifting Club. Special thanks to Midwest Energy Cooperative for their generosity and partnership with the PE program and Centreville Schools.
