6TH GRADE GRANTS
The 6th graders would like to thank Michigan Youth Arts for the grant we received to help pay for busing to the Kalamazoo Air Zoo. We are very excited to enjoy our day of learning at the Air Zoo and are thankful to Michigan Youth Arts (and the Michigan legislators that support this grant program) for helping to make our trip successful! Thank you! This activity is supported by Michigan Youth Arts and the Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs.
We would also like to thank Target for the grant we received from them to pay for our students’ admission costs to the Kalamazoo Air Zoo. We are very thankful for programs such as these two which make our trip successful. Thank you!
The elementary students enjoyed a fun close to October with Fall Fest hosted by the FFA program and a Storybook Character Parade down a student-lined street. Thank to all those who put in a lot of time to make these events possible! More pictures.
OCTOBER STAR STUDENTS
The October character trait was Acceptance. These students were chosen by their peers because they demonstrated good acceptance of others. Previous months.
OCTOBER GROWTH MINDSET STUDENTS
In growth mindset, students understand that their talents and abilities can be developed through effort, good teaching, and persistence. They don't necessarily think that everyone's the same, but they believe that everyone can get smarter if they work at it. Previous months.
